My girlfriend won runner up in a halloween contest 2019 and was given a voucher of £150 that we were told we could redeem at any time in the future. We still have the physical voucher. When we tried to redeem the voucher we were told a number of different excuses as to why the voucher couldn't be honoured. 1. We were told that the voucher had to be redeemed in 3 months (this is not said anywhere on the voucher and goes contrary to everything we were told on the night) 2. We were then told that the voucher had to be redeemed on the night. This is ridiculous as who could be expected to drink £150 worth of drinks on one night. The winner received £350...was she expected to drink all that on the same night 3. We were then told that because the voucher has already been redeemed by someone (news to us because we still have the voucher in our possession) and that they don't have CCTV to investigate this that they won't be honouring the voucher. Terrible way to treat loyal and regular customers who over the course of a year of loyal custom would easily spend well over £150 Won't spend a penny in there ever again. We won a contest at Loft and they were remarkably gracious in honouring our prize...perhaps that's where we'll spend our money.

An environment that should be inclusive and diverse, bringing together people of all kinds, greets its customers with truculence and disrespect as soon as it arrives at the door. My friends and I had been there several times, it wasn't our first trip to The Village, but it sure will be the last. I recommend people who are interested in fun and respect to look elsewhere, this is definitely not an environment for that.
